Badi Elaichi, also known as Cardamom, is a significant item in Hindu rituals and pooja practices. It is a spice derived from the seeds of the Cardamom plant, native to the Indian subcontinent. In Hindu culture, Badi Elaichi is considered a symbol of purity, prosperity, and good fortune.

During rituals and festivals, Badi Elaichi is typically used as an offering to deities, particularly during the preparation of prasad, a sacred food offering. It is also used in the ritual of havan, where it is burned along with other herbs and spices to purify the atmosphere and invoke the blessings of the gods.

In traditional Hindu beliefs, Badi Elaichi is associated with the goddess Lakshmi, who is revered as the embodiment of wealth and prosperity. It is believed to attract positive energy and ward off negative vibes, making it an essential item in many Hindu rituals and ceremonies.
